Fashion Illustion

'Fashion Illustration' is about drawing an illustration to design new clothing and accessories. It has been around for nearly 500 years. Ever since clothes have been in existence and there was a need to translate an idea or image into a garment there has been a need for fashion illustration. Not only do fashion illustrations show a representation or design of a garment but also served as a form of art. Fashion illustration shows the presence of hand and is said to be a visual luxury.

Juls or J*WLS ( or Julie Bouiguerourene ) is a pretty sick French Illustrator. Living and working in Paris as a freelance illustrator, her work is full of freshness and energy, illustrating well the world of fashion and Street culture of today. During her world tour between Paris, Seattle, London and Tokyo she works with publications such as Wad or Elle Girl Japan.

Juls’s techniques and characters are to be a mix of drawing and vectorism. She said “I used to draw a lot in my sketchbooks, but I mainly use my computer & tablet pad now to develop a style of my own and also to associate the traditional techniques to new technologies.”

She uses colorful color to represent the hip hop and street cultures.

Left: This work is design for a female fashion so she used pink color, which associates with female very well. Also, the lines are look like Japaness cartoon because this fashion advertise base on Tokyo.
